These universal ball pin hinges are very suitable for both interior and exterior doors! Because despite the fact that it is SKG*** approved for use on exterior doors, this ball pin hinge, unlike other SKG hinges, does not have an anti-theft pin. And that is exactly what makes it very good for hanging interior doors. So you kill two birds with one stone.
The big advantage of a butt hinge is that the door or window can be easily lifted in and out of the frame, ideal for painting work, for example. Due to its rounded corners, the butt hinge is suitable for machining. With a milling machine, the recess can be made in the door or window and frame. It also has the CE quality mark.

The installation is made easier by the through-knot. The pivot point of the hinge is placed off-centre by the through-knot, which means that it is not necessary to crimp the knot in the frame. You can find a step-by-step installation manual via the QR code on each ball pin hinge!
Unlike hinges, hinges are not reversible. You always attach the leaf with the pin in the frame and therefore need to determine in advance which turning direction you need: left or right turning, or DIN left or DIN right.

The easiest way to find out whether you need a left or right-turning butt hinge is to stand on the side of the door where you see the hinge when the door is closed. The door will always turn towards you. Is the hinge on the right? Then you are dealing with DIN right (Belgian left). Is the hinge on the left? Then you choose a left-turning butt hinge, or: DIN left (= Belgian right).
In total, there are four possible situations within the DIN standard. Look at the different situations in the attached image, but remember: the above method is suitable for both inward-opening and outward-opening doors.
Select between left or right rotation in the menu above .
(the example in the photo is DIN Left - Belgian Right).
